A Little bit about me

Kevin has always been an avid reader. When he was in the second grade he came in second in a summer reading contest at the locak library. He and the girl who won the contest were interviewed on the local radio station, which was a big deal back in the day.
His love of reading has never diminished.
Kevin has been a sci-fi/fantasy nut from the time he was young, watching Star Trek (the original) and each succeeding franchise. He couldn’t get enough of the Stargate movie and series. He watched all of the Star Wars movies. Read and watched the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. His bookcases are full of books about faraway places with strange names and odd creatures. Works of fiction of all kinds are great ways to set reality aside and transport yourself to new places for a time.
Kevin believes in the power of story. It has the ability to change lives. Fiction is powerful because of the freedom it gives to explore the realities of life, but from the vantage point of another place, time, culture, people, or amazing creatures. It can move beyond the bounds of our everyday lives and look at life in a new way.
So many of us read books to escape our everyday world, to live vicariously through someone else. Kevin hopes his books provide that escape and make people happier and more hopeful.
